Phil and Brad made up a great crew and after several days of trying, we finally got this fishing trip in..... Friday was pretty enough, but it was surrounded by strong wind and heavy rain and I believe, the rain anyway, pretty heavily affected the fishing..... We started off inside the Bight at Cape Lookout and I tried to put Brad into his first Cobia. Brad, it seems, hadn't been doing much saltwater fishing in his life. He had spent all his free time playing baseball and it was time well spent as he will be a joining the University of South Carolina this fall on scholarship as a catcher. Any SEC sports scholarship means that you are BIG TIME. Yes, BRAD DEBO will be a name yo watch. Great kid and I hope he makes the MLB one day! Well, anyway Brad didnt get his first Cobia, but he landed his first Shark snd Southern Stingray. Brad had one Stingray that was well over 100 pounds and Brad ceremoniously cut off his spine and stuck it Uncle Rays head between his eyeballs. Ive made that a once yearly tribute to honor Steve Irwan and Brad did the honors this year.
To be cont.......
