Sept 24 Croakers and Spots

Looking for a Fish Fry? The Menu in Taylor's Creek is full of two pretty good choices for the main dinner guest. Standing on the Dock, in an hour, I caught 20 Croakers and 8 Spots. That's nearly 1 fish every 2 minutes. I'm fishing with Fishbites, so if any of you guys ever used them.....I spent half my time cutting cheese cloth off my hooks. The rest of my time was spent dueling Croakers on ultralight. In this fishery, a 1 pounder is a good one, so I broke out the 4# spinning rod. First drop produced a double header on the Croaker. Quite a tussle. Total catch for the Day: 20 Croakers and 8 Spots

If you get thrown in jail, get someone to bail you out before we are set to take off from the boat ramp Monday morning.

I'm supposed to take a bunch of Lawyers out fishing on Saturday. Might be pretty profitable.....for them! If only the Judge could've seen them Drum under that light. It was a sight I'll never forget.

If you take a bunch of lawyers that should give you the chance to have a good chum line for Monday. By the way, I am bringing a new customer that wants to catch something bigger than 20 lbs, so be on the lookout in the next couple of days.

Why does BPD care? If there's some ordinance about fishing in taylor's creek this is the first I've heard of it--I fished off boat docks there and never thought anything of it.

Ehirunner--We sorta had to use somebody else's property to get access to a spot that was very, very fishy. It probably would've been okay at 1pm, but probably looked very suspicious at 1am. Two guys running from Dock to Dock with arm fulls of something (24" Drum, rods and reels, and landing net) at 1am. I know what it must've looked like.......In my defense, I know all the people whose Docks we used, I don't know the people whose docks were holding ALL the FISH.

Anon--Casting for Sp Macks, Blues, Drum, Albies has been good. Are you saying that we might need to throw in a Reef Donkey?

One or two reef donkeys may do the trick. Have the stuff to get them just in case, preferably not 20lb test on a king rod if they are going to be over 80lb donkeys.

I forgot to add, this customer is of the female variety, so wear your best fishing hat.

Hopefully it will be "bikini weather" if I got to wear my nice hat....Also, those 80# Donkeys you remember were probably twice the average size. I will bring a rod dedicated to GIANT Donkeys, just in case. We don't want to spend all day on 1 fish. We got a lot to sample...I hope.

You better hope it is bikini weather, you will not be disappointed if it is. As far as the 80 lbers, I don't care to play with those anymore, I am still having nightmares about that one. 40 lbers will be fine.
